Role
As Senior Principal, Product Engineering you will translate strategic objectives into deliverable epics and technical acceptance criteria, own outcomes across 2–4 product areas, and combine product ownership with hands-on technical contribution to accelerate delivery and reduce cycle time. You will partner closely with engineering, architecture, data, and DevOps to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and high-performing while institutionalizing AI-native practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Define epics, user stories, and technical acceptance criteria to enable autonomous, high-velocity engineering execution.
- Partner with architects to ensure designs meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Lead backlog prioritization and influence technical investment decisions to balance feature delivery, platform health, and technical debt.
- Act as an embedded, hands-on technical product leader across discovery, design, delivery, and troubleshooting to unblock teams.
- Contribute directly to prototypes/spikes, debugging, performance tuning, instrumentation/observability, and CI/CD improvements.
- Leverage data instrumentation, analytics, and observability to assess product health, performance, and ROI.
- Drive DevOps, CI/CD optimization, and automation to improve release reliability and deployment speed.
- Establish and be accountable for cycle time, flow efficiency, and throughput KPIs and demonstrate measurable improvement.
- Model and institutionalize AI-native product and engineering practices including AI-assisted discovery, design, coding, testing, and operations.
- Lead technical discovery and product design sessions and serve as subject matter expert for assigned products.
- Promote cross-team collaboration, transparency, experimentation, and continuous learning.
- Introduce and train teams on modern product management methodologies and discovery-driven development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Product Development, Business, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in product, engineering, development, and project management.
- Experience engaging with C-suite and in brand or product development management.
- Prior experience leading teams and cross-functional initiatives (direct or matrix leadership).
- Experience using AI coding for production applications (Vibe Coding) > 1 year.
- Ability to operate across the full lifecycle: discovery, requirements, delivery, production, and operations, including hands-on troubleshooting and technical contribution.
- Proven track record leading complex, technical product initiatives involving APOs, microservices, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong analytical curiosity, ability to operate in ambiguity, and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge or familiarity with BPO or insurance industry preferred.

Compensation
- Salary range for most locations for this role: $145,899 - $247,039 annually. Individual pay decisions vary by experience, qualifications, and geography.
