Senior Product Designer, AI

Role

Zeta is hiring a Senior Product Designer, AI to help build the Zeta Developer Platform and the Agentic Apps Framework. This foundational role will define core AI experiences, design scalable UX/UI patterns, and shape how users trust, understand, and interact with AI across the platform.

Team & Approach

The team emphasizes vision, ownership, delegation, and cross-functional collaboration. The designer will work as a core triad partner with Product Management and Engineering and collaborate closely with the Design Systems team to raise quality, speed, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the end-to-end Zeta Developer Platform experience, including conversational interfaces, contextual guidance, and AI-driven workflows.
• Partner with Design Systems to create and maintain scalable UX/UI patterns and documentation.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate complex requirements and technical constraints into human-centered AI experiences.
• Define interaction and explainability patterns that communicate intent, progress, confidence, and limitations of AI features.
• Lead craft, motion, and interaction quality through visual design, motion, prototyping, and micro-interactions.
• Identify opportunities to standardize UX patterns and behaviors across the platform to enable consistency and scale.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience on complex platforms or systems.
• Experience designing and shipping AI-powered or data-informed products.
• Proven track record of close collaboration with Product and Engineering and influencing standards or systems beyond a single feature.
• Ability to balance craft, speed, and business impact.
• Expert-level Figma skills (scalable component architecture, design systems, documentation).
• Daily use of AI design tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar.
• Prototyping tools experience (Figma Prototypes, Framer, ProtoPie, or similar).
• Motion tools experience (Rive, After Effects, or similar) for stateful interactions and micro-animations.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern frontend concepts.
• Comfort with modern product development tools and workflows.

Salary

The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $180,000 depending on location and experience.
