About the Role
Senior Product Designer focused on designing user-centered, workflow-optimized interfaces for hospital software. You will prototype in Figma, run UX research including on-site hospital visits, and collaborate with product, engineering, and medical experts to evolve the design system and Storybook implementation.
Job Description
Role
You will join the product team as a (Senior) Product Designer working at the intersection of design, medicine, and technology to create intuitive, user-centered solutions for hospitals. The role covers end-to-end product design from early UX research and prototyping to high-fidelity UI and design system maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design user-centered product experiences that balance user needs, medical requirements, technical feasibility, and business goals
- Create interactive prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity screens (primarily in Figma) to communicate and validate ideas
- Conduct and pioneer UX research practices, including user interviews, usability testing, and occasional on-site hospital research
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and medical subject-matter experts to iterate on solutions and make trade-offs
- Contribute to and evolve a tokenized design system and ensure component consistency through Storybook
- Own end-to-end product challenges and drive measurable impact in a fast-scaling environment
Requirements
- Degree in design, HCI, information design, communication sciences, or a comparable field
- 2+ years of product design experience in a complex B2B software context (hands-on work on digital applications beyond websites)
- Proficiency with modern design tools and high-fidelity prototyping, especially Figma
- Experience working with and contributing to tokenized design systems
- Strong UX principles, testing methods, and accessibility literacy
- Proven cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to discuss technical trade-offs with engineering
- Systems-thinking mindset, solution orientation, and ability to work in ambiguity
- Fluency in German and English

- Prior healthcare industry experience
- Experience with vibe coding or AI-assisted prototyping tools (examples cited: Claude, Cursor, V0)
