Role
As a Senior Product Designer at Okta you’ll work on a globally distributed, centralized design team to deliver cohesive, scalable identity experiences across Okta’s portfolio. The role blends practical UX work with speculative and generative explorations, applying systems thinking to complex, multi-persona flows across desktop, mobile web, and dedicated applications. You will champion secure, usable design and lead through influence across product, engineering, research, marketing, and data science.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and execute product design strategy with measurable impact on user experience and business outcomes.
- Frame problems and explore solutions in collaboration with user research, UX writing, product management, engineering, marketing, and data science.
- Design end-to-end flows for multiple personas (IT Admin, Security Admins, End-user) that span the Okta portfolio.
- Create scalable, accessible, and responsive design patterns and ensure platform-specific standards are applied.
- Perfect interaction and visual details to increase usability, consistency, and efficiency across products.
- Present work and concepts to cross-functional teams and senior leadership to influence product decisions.
- Champion thoughtful, secure use of AI in the design process, including advanced vibe-coding for generative prototyping and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer, preferably with shipped B2B/enterprise products.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency with Figma, Miro, and Balsamiq (or similar design tools).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating the full design process (research, discovery, interaction design, information architecture, visual design) and real product outcomes (portfolio link required).
- Demonstrated ability to design responsive, accessible, and inclusive experiences across device types.
- Experience incorporating AI into the design process, including crafting tools, iterating with AI, evaluating AI-generated outputs, and documenting prompts for scaled use.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration, storytelling, presentation, and influence skills.
- Comfort owning all stages of design for multiple teams and working in ambiguous environments.
