Job Description
Role
As a Senior Product Designer on Okta’s AI-first, globally distributed design team, you will lead product design efforts across Okta’s portfolio to create secure, usable identity experiences. Work will span practical UX for shipped products and speculative generative explorations to define and prioritize solutions in ambiguous problem spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and execute product design strategy that balances user experience and business outcomes.
- Apply systems thinking to connect user insights with business goals and scale design patterns across products.
- Collaborate with user research, UX writing, product management, engineering, marketing, and data science to frame problems and explore solutions.
- Design end-to-end flows for multiple personas (IT Admin, Security Admins, End-user) across Okta products.
- Ensure cohesive, responsive, accessible experiences across desktop, mobile web, and dedicated applications.
- Create scalable design patterns and maintain design quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Present concepts and work to cross-functional teams and senior leadership to influence product decisions.
- Champion secure and thoughtful use of AI in the design process, including advanced vibe-coding for generative prototyping.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer, with B2B/enterprise product experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end work on complex technical projects (research, discovery, interaction, IA, visual design).
- Proficiency with Figma, Miro, Balsamiq or similar design tools.
- Ability to design responsive, accessible, and inclusive experiences.
- Strong storytelling, presentation, and collaboration skills; comfort owning all stages of design across multiple teams.
- Experience incorporating AI into the design process and evaluating AI-generated outputs for accuracy and system adherence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

- Centralized design team with significant autonomy and cross-functional collaboration.
- Globally distributed organization with multiple offices; onboarding includes an immersive in-person experience.
