The role partners with product, engineering, research, and data teams to design end-to-end responsive, accessible experiences and drive design strategy for complex multi-persona flows.

Role
As a Senior Product Designer at Okta you will work on a globally distributed, centralized design team to deliver user-centric and technically feasible design solutions across Okta’s portfolio. You will balance practical UX work with speculative, generative explorations, help define product direction, and apply design systems thinking to complex identity problems that impact millions of users.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and execute a product design strategy that impacts user experience and business outcomes.
- Apply systems thinking to connect user insights and business goals and design cohesive solutions across the Okta product portfolio.
- Lead problem framing and solution exploration in collaboration with user research, UX writing, product management, engineering, marketing, and data science.
- Design end-to-end flows that address multiple personas (IT Admins, Security Admins, End Users) across desktop, mobile web, and dedicated applications.
- Ensure responsive, accessible, and platform-appropriate design patterns; create scalable design patterns and maintain design quality and consistency.
- Present concepts and work to cross-functional partners and senior leadership to influence product decisions.
- Champion thoughtful use of AI in the design process, including generative prototyping and advanced vibe-coding workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer, with a portfolio of shipped B2B/enterprise products.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant work experience.
- Proficient with design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Miro, and Balsamiq (or similar).
- Experience designing responsive, accessible, and inclusive experiences across device types.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, move between high-level strategy and pixel-level detail, and work in ambiguous environments.
- Experience incorporating AI into the design process, including iterating with AI, crafting tools, and documenting prompts; ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and design system adherence.
- Strong storytelling, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills; portfolio required.
