Role
As a Senior Product Designer at Okta you will own product design strategy and execution for identity products, working on both practical UX and speculative explorations. You will collaborate with product management, engineering, research, UX writing, marketing, and data science to define problems, prioritize solutions, and deliver coherent experiences across the Okta product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and execute an ambitious product design strategy that impacts user experience and business outcomes.
- Apply systems thinking to connect user insights with business goals and create secure, usable experiences for millions of customers.
- Frame problems, explore solutions, and lead through influence across research, UX writing, PM, engineering, marketing, and data teams.
- Design end-to-end flows for multiple personas (IT admin, security admin, end user) across the Okta portfolio.
- Ensure cohesive, responsive experiences across desktop, mobile web, and native applications, meeting accessibility standards.
- Create scalable, usable design patterns and contribute to design system consistency and efficiency.
- Present work and concepts to cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive alignment and influence product decisions.
- Champion thoughtful, secure use of AI in the design process, including generative prototyping and advanced vibe-coding.
Requirements / Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer, with a portfolio of shipped B2B/enterprise products.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficient in Figma, Miro, Balsamiq, or similar design tools.
- Demonstrated experience designing responsive, accessible, and inclusive experiences across device types.
- Experience incorporating AI into design workflows, crafting tools and prompts, iterating with AI, and evaluating AI-generated outputs for accuracy and system adherence.
- Strong collaboration and storytelling skills; ability to own all stages of design and to work effectively with PM and Engineering.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and balancing user goals with business and engineering constraints.
