Role
Okta is hiring a Senior Product Designer to work on identity products and services, with a focus on protecting the future of work and securing AI-driven experiences. You’ll work on both practical UX work and speculative, generative explorations, owning end-to-end flows that span multiple personas (IT admin, security admin, end user) and form factors (desktop, mobile web, applications).
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and execute product design strategy to deliver measurable user and business impact.
- Apply systems-thinking to connect user insights and business goals, designing cohesive experiences across Okta’s product portfolio.
- Collaborate with user research, UX writing, product management, engineering, marketing, and data science to frame problems and explore solutions.
- Design scalable, responsive, and accessible patterns and end-to-end flows across desktop, mobile web, and apps.
- Present concepts and designs to cross-functional partners and senior leadership to align on direction and influence decisions.
- Champion thoughtful, secure use of AI in the design process, including generative prototyping and documentation of prompts/approaches.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer with shipped B2B/enterprise products.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating full design process (research, interaction design, information architecture, visual design) and work on complex technical products.
- Proficient with design tools such as Figma, Miro, Balsamiq (or similar).
- Experience designing responsive, accessible, and inclusive experiences that scale across device types.
- Comfortable owning all stages of design across multiple teams and working in ambiguous environments.
- Experience incorporating AI into the design process, including crafting tools, iterating collaboratively with AI, and evaluating AI outputs for accuracy and design-system adherence.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills; ability to lead through influence.
