Job Description
Role
Senior AI-first Product/UX Designer responsible for leading end-to-end design of enterprise-grade governance, observability, and AI-driven workflows across a data platform. The role focuses on making complex tasks simple and trustworthy, designing across GUI, CLI, APIs, and conversational surfaces, and defining interaction models that connect system metrics to business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Own product UX for a core platform domain, designing seamless handoffs between data practitioners, administrators, and platform decision makers.
- Design complete workflows for complex, data-heavy and AI-driven tasks, balancing usability, scalability, and technical constraints.
- Prototype and iterate rapidly in Figma and vibe coding tools; produce clickable UI prototypes and conversational artifacts (scripts, dialogue maps, prompt sets).
- Define interaction models and anticipate edge cases, error states, and usability risks.
- Design agentic AI experiences, conversation flows, response UIs, and multimodal product experiences.
- Analyze analytics, transcripts, and user feedback to improve conversation quality, task success, and accessibility; experiment and iterate based on data.
- Create and validate clear UX patterns, voice/tone/persona guidance, onboarding flows, and best-practice guides to accelerate time-to-value.
- Collaborate with product, design, information architecture, engineering, research, and ML partners; participate in critiques and contribute to shared guidelines and metrics.
- Mentor and support junior designers, contribute to shared patterns and standards, and help define UX observability metrics.
Requirements
- 8+ years in product/UX design, with 1–3+ years focused on AI-driven and/or conversational experiences, ideally in enterprise platforms.
- Strong fluency in Figma and vibe coding tools; ability to express interaction thinking through UI prototypes and flows.
- Demonstrated ability to own end-to-end workflow design for complex tasks using systems thinking and strong interaction craft.
- Demonstrated AI UX design experience, including setting user expectations and designing AI–UI interactions that simplify complexity.
- Experience designing for complex technical/B2B products and multiple enterprise personas.
- Portfolio showing strategic thinking and measurable impact on adoption, task success, time-to-value, or trust.
- Experience conducting user research, validation testing, and using analytics/transcripts to iterate on AI interactions.
Tools & Context
- Work spans GUI, CLI, APIs, conversational interfaces, and AI assistant surfaces.
- Enterprise-scale, regulated, and high-stakes industry context where precision, trust, and compliance are important.
