Role
Senior Product Designer for Zoom Rooms responsible for designing end-to-end hybrid room experiences that integrate physical hardware and software. The designer will own major product areas, drive system-wide consistency, and deliver high-quality UI, motion, and interaction details across shared room systems and companion devices.
Team
Join the Zoom App and Marketplace design team to create customizable apps and scalable integrations. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, accessibility specialists, and hardware partners to shape communication and AI-enabled experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct contextual research focused on physical environments and hybrid meeting dynamics.
- Collaborate with hardware partners to ensure software leverages diverse room devices.
- Visualize and document relationships between Zoom Room components (Room, Controller, Scheduling Display, Admin Portal) to ensure system-wide consistency.
- Design for diverse interaction models including touch input, voice control, and companion device usage (phone, laptop, tablet pairing).
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align on product direction and champion design excellence across surfaces.
- Drive polished UI, layout, motion, and interaction details; set and maintain a high bar for visual quality.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and measure success.
- Own design execution in Figma, producing pixel-perfect visuals, robust prototypes, and clear engineering specifications.
Requirements
- BS or equivalent experience with 6+ years in product design and a portfolio demonstrating strong user-centered interaction design for TV interfaces, kiosks, or other non-desktop form factors.
- Systems-minded approach with deep systems thinking and contribution to design systems.
- Strong visual design skills with an expert eye for spacing, layout, motion, and structure.
- Understanding of interplay between personal devices and shared room systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-influencing skills.
- Experience leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data to guide design.
- Exposure to AI-powered design and prototyping tools (e.g., Prompting, Vibe Coding, Cursor, FigmaMake).
- Experience with accessibility collaboration and motion design is a plus.
Compensation
- Reported salary range: $124,000 to $271,200 (Total Direct Compensation considers base, bonus, and equity). Note: Starting pay is commensurate with qualifications and location-based adjustments may apply.
