Role

Senior Product Designer focused on Zoom Rooms, responsible for shaping hybrid work experiences by designing end-to-end room interactions that integrate physical hardware and digital software. This role owns major product areas, drives design quality, and collaborates across product, engineering, research, accessibility, and hardware partners.

Team

Join the Zoom App and Marketplace team to design customizable apps and scalable integrations for Zoom Rooms and related surfaces. Work with a global, detail-oriented design team to influence communication and AI-enabled experiences at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct contextual research considering physical environments and hybrid meeting dynamics; collaborate with hardware partners to leverage diverse room devices.
  • Visualize and document relationships between Zoom Room surfaces (Room, Controller, Scheduling Display, Admin Portal) to ensure system-wide consistency.
  • Design for diverse interaction models including touch/input, voice control, and companion device pairing (phone, laptop, tablet).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (PM, engineering, research, accessibility) to align on product direction and deliver impactful work.
  • Drive high-quality visual and interaction design: UI polish, layout, motion, and interaction details.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to guide design decisions and measure success.
  • Execute designs in Figma, delivering pixel-perfect visuals, robust prototypes, and clear engineering specifications.

Requirements

  • BS or equivalent experience with 6+ years in product design and a portfolio demonstrating user-centered interaction design across TV interfaces, kiosks, or other non-desktop form factors.
  • Systems-minded designer with deep systems thinking and experience contributing to design systems.
  • Strong visual design skills with an expert eye for spacing, layout, motion, and structure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
  • Understanding of interplay between personal devices and shared room systems.
  • Exposure to AI-powered design tools and workflows (Prompting, Vibe Coding, Cursor, FigmaMake) for design and prototyping.
  • Familiarity or experience with accessibility and motion design is a plus.

Figma; exposure to AI-powered design/prototyping tools such as Prompting, Vibe Coding, Cursor, and FigmaMake. Practices include contextual research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, systems design, and motion/interaction design.

Compensation & Notes

  • Salary range listed: $124,000 to $271,200 (Total Direct Compensation philosophy includes base salary, bonus, and equity).
  • Location-based compensation structure may apply.
