Role
Senior Product Manager owning Harness Code Repository, a core pillar of the Harness software delivery platform. Responsible for product strategy, roadmap, technical requirements, and execution across source control, pull requests, governance, permissions, and AI-assisted developer workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Define product strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for repo fundamentals, PR workflows, branch protections/policies, reviews/approvals, permissions/RBAC, and auditability.
- Deepen and scale integration of Code with the broader Harness platform (build, security, deploy).
- Define success metrics (adoption, migration velocity, PR throughput, time-to-merge) and drive data-informed decisions using telemetry and customer feedback.
- Define and deliver AI-assisted workflows grounded in repo/PR context with evaluation criteria, guardrails, and iteration plans.
- Partner with engineering and design to ensure AI experiences are trustworthy, controllable, and aligned with enterprise requirements.
- Engage customers to understand workflows and governance needs; reduce PR friction and guide roadmap priorities.
- Drive competitive intelligence across source control and adjacent tooling and translate insights into priorities and differentiation.
- Write and manage technical requirements/specs; collaborate on feasibility, architectural tradeoffs, and release planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with GTM, product marketing, and DevRel to drive adoption and craft technical narratives.
Requirements / Qualifications
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years total experience, including:
- 2+ years in software development or engineering.
- 5+ years in product management for developer tools, DevOps, SCM, or CI/CD products.
- Proven track record shipping complex products with measurable adoption and impact.
- Familiarity with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket ecosystems and CI/quality integrations.
- Strong technical aptitude: comfortable with architecture, scalability, reliability, and systems tradeoffs.
- Experience defining and delivering AI-assisted developer workflows with guardrails and evaluation criteria is a plus.
- Enterprise SaaS governance experience is a plus.
Work Location
- Ideally near Mountain View, CA for hybrid work; open to remote within North America.
Compensation
- Anticipated base salary range: $170,000 - $185,000 USD annually. Compensation may include equity and benefits; final salary varies by location and experience.
