Role
The Senior Product Manager - CoreAI will define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Azure Managed Redis (Redis Enterprise) with a focus on performance, scalability, and deep AI integration. The role partners with engineering (Microsoft & Redis Inc.), marketing, field teams, and customers to accelerate migrations, unblock reliability and security barriers, and enable Redis as a foundational knowledge layer for intelligent applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Own product vision and roadmap focused on AI-first patterns (RAG, vector indexing/search, semantic caching, agent memory) while maintaining reliability, compliance, and security.
- Translate customer signals into prioritized features that reduce latency, lower inference/token costs, and increase relevance.
- Lead cross-functional execution: co-create with engineering, coordinate with networking/compute/security teams, and align with adjacent Azure services.
- Drive GTM strategy and field enablement: shape messaging, build demos/proof-points, and partner with Product Marketing and Sales to drive adoption.
- Engage customers and partners to validate scenarios, gather requirements, and convert feedback into specifications and product decisions.
- Use telemetry, metrics, and A/B experimentation to inform prioritization and measure success (availability, latency, adoption, revenue).
- Ensure enterprise readiness and compliance (high availability, backup/restore, failover, certifications, data guardrails) for production AI workloads.
- Mentor and grow PMs; evangelize outcomes through demos, docs, and presentations.
Requirements
Minimum / Required
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in product/service/program management or software development, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to define product vision, drive roadmaps, and deliver complex features in cloud services.
- Experience working with engineering, marketing, and field teams to ship and launch products.
- Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements (Microsoft Cloud background check and periodic re-checks).
Preferred / Additional
- Technical expertise in distributed systems, databases, or high-scale cloud services; experience with in-memory data stores or caching (Redis highly desirable).
- Hands-on familiarity with Redis modules (RediSearch, RedisJSON, RedisTimeSeries) and caching patterns for AI workloads.
- Experience with AI/ML workloads, vector search/databases, and systems that accelerate model inference or retrieval.
- Proven ability to build proofs-of-concept/demos quickly (proven coding / “vibe coding” experience).
- Strong collaboration, communication, and customer advocacy skills; experience presenting to executives and customers.
Compensation
- Typical U.S. base pay range listed in the posting: USD 119,800 - 234,700 per year. Higher local ranges apply for specific metro areas (e.g., USD 158,400 - 258,000 in SF Bay Area and NYC metro).
