Role
SSOE is hiring a Senior Project Manager and Office Leader to lead the delivery of complex, large-scale advanced technology and high-tech industrial design-build projects and to serve as a visible office leader who develops people, strengthens client relationships, and drives operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle management of a portfolio of complex design-build projects from conception through closeout.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities with international and domestic clients and delivery teams to align scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
- Define and manage project scope, develop scopes of work, and administer formal change control processes.
- Develop and maintain integrated, resource-loaded project schedules (critical path identification and mitigation).
- Serve as primary client and stakeholder contact; lead meetings, prepare status reports, and communicate risks and opportunities.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to protect cost, schedule, and quality.
- Support construction phase activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, site walks, and field verifications.
- Mentor and develop junior Project Managers; contribute to project management processes and standards.
- Champion safety and ensure compliance with quality standards, client specifications, and applicable codes and regulations.
- Provide office leadership: cultivate inclusive culture, drive staff development, manage office facilities and budgets for PM training, and promote continuous improvement.
- Support business development: cultivate client relationships, participate in capture planning, prepare proposals, and represent SSOE at industry events.
AI & Innovation
- Leverage SSOE’s AI ecosystem: responsible access to large language models and vibe-coding platforms, training to integrate AI tools into project workflows, and programs to accelerate productivity and innovation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of project management experience, with significant experience in industrial, advanced technology, or high-tech manufacturing facility delivery, preferably in a design-build or integrated delivery environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; PMP certification highly desired; additional certifications are a plus.
- Proven office leadership and people management experience.
- Expert proficiency with project scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Deltek Vantagepoint) and experience with resource loading, critical path analysis, and earned value management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-cultural, cross-time-zone teams and tailor governance to diverse audiences.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills; experience engaging with C-level stakeholders.
- Proven track record in client relationship building, business development, proposal leadership, and negotiating scopes and fees.
- Ability to perform field verifications and site walks in industrial/construction environments.

- Salary: $130,000 – $200,000 per year (commensurate with location, education, and experience).
