Senior Project Manager

Role

Senior Project Manager responsible for leading complex, multidisciplinary tool-install design and hook-up projects within semiconductor (fab) and other high-tech manufacturing environments. The role owns scope, schedule, budget, risk mitigation, coordination with design teams, trade contractors, and client tool owners, and delivers final commissioning and client handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage scope of work, schedule, and budget for design packages and tool-install projects.
• Lead end-to-end execution from equipment specifications and utility matrix development through final hook-up, commissioning, and client handover.
• Develop and manage detailed tool-level installation schedules to meet critical “First Tool” and “Ready for Equipment” (RFE) milestones.
• Serve as primary contact among design teams, contractors, and client tool owners to resolve space, utility routing, and point-of-connection (POC) conflicts.
• Control project budgets and manage change orders tied to tool configuration and procurement sequencing.
• Enforce EHS standards and cleanroom protocols; ensure safe execution without compromising facility integrity.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks (utility capacity, seismic bracing, vibration isolation) for sensitive equipment.
• Follow change management procedures and document project change orders.
• Drive continuous improvement and apply lessons learned to optimize delivery methodologies.
• Mentor and train other Project Managers on resolving complex design and installation challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related) preferred.
• 10+ years of project management experience in advanced technology or high-tech manufacturing projects (semiconductor fabs, data centers, pharmaceutical manufacturing) preferred.
• PMP certification highly desired.
• Proficiency with project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6; experience with resource loading and critical path analysis.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-cultural, cross-time-zone teams and tailoring communication/governance to varied stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including root-cause identification and remediation.
• Ability to perform field verifications and site walks in industrial/construction environments, including access to elevated areas.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $135,000 – $170,000 per year (commensurate with location, education, and experience).
