Role
Senior Python developer (8+ years) to join an existing team as an extension of the organization, owning backend features end-to-end for internal and client-facing applications in the CTV/media agency space. The role centers on pragmatic architecture, data engineering for analytics, and heavy use of AI-assisted development tools in daily workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain internal and client-facing applications and tooling (reporting dashboards, workflow automation, data tooling).
- Prioritize and scope multi-phase projects alongside developers and leadership.
- Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to write specs/prompts, review and refine AI-generated code, and iterate quickly.
- Build and maintain data pipelines feeding a ClickHouse data lake for analytics and observability.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries, including indexing and migrations.
- Participate in architecture decisions with a bias toward pragmatic, maintainable solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional Python development experience with a backend/API focus (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
- Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL: schema design, indexing, query optimization, and migrations.
- Prior experience with CTV or media agency environments and familiarity with media/ad-tech data (viewership, ad delivery, impressions).
- Demonstrated use of AI coding assistants in a production workflow (writing specs/prompts, reviewing AI-generated code).
- Ability to work independently with light oversight and to translate ambiguous stakeholder requests into clear technical plans.
- Prior experience working in an IT services company and strong written asynchronous communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ClickHouse or other columnar/analytical databases.
- ETL/data pipeline experience connecting transactional (Postgres) and analytical (ClickHouse) systems.
- Experience working as an offshorer with US-based teams.
Compensation & Location
- Pay: ₹700,000 - ₹1,000,000 per year.
- Work location: In person (on-site).
