Askuity (a Toronto-based division of The Home Depot Canada) is hiring a Senior Software Developer to drive the technical direction and implementation of its retail analytics SaaS platform. The role involves end-to-end development, operating services on Google Cloud Platform, and collaborating with product stakeholders to deliver data-driven features that help suppliers and merchants make profitable decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver well-tested, performant, and maintainable code for a data-powered SaaS platform.
- Contribute across the full application development lifecycle: design, implement, test, deploy, and run services.
- Deploy and operate software on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related services.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to address current and future platform challenges.
- Partner with product stakeholders to understand user problems and implement features that meet customer needs.
- Work within an Agile Scrum process.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- University/College degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with backend development and web service architectures (HTTP/REST).
- Experience with system design, distributed systems, scaling, reliability, and security.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and platform products, especially GCP and its ecosystem.
- Practical knowledge of development workflows and tools (Git, IDEs such as IntelliJ or Visual Studio Code).
- Ability to write reliable, scalable systems and to mentor others; strong communication and collaboration skills.
Technical Skills & Tools (explicitly mentioned)

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range (base salary): $125,000 - $155,000
