Senior Software Engineer

Role

Senior Software Engineer responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering modern software solutions while providing technical leadership across the engineering team. The role focuses on transitioning legacy Classic ASP applications to C# .NET Core, establishing standards and best practices, mentoring developers, and promoting AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution design and architecture decisions for scalability, maintainability, and business alignment.
• Define and implement the roadmap to modernize legacy Classic ASP systems to C# .NET Core.
• Establish coding standards, architectural patterns, and team best practices.
• Champion and create guidelines for AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
• Architect and build complex features in C# .NET Core and serve as a technical reference.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior and mid-level developers, and drive knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve development efficiency.
• Own end-to-end problem diagnosis and resolution; identify and reduce technical debt and risks.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and cross-functional teams to align technical work with business priorities.
• Improve incident response, troubleshooting, and production support processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core (architecture and design).
• Experience with legacy system modernization (Classic ASP experience is a plus).
• Strong proficiency with relational databases (SQL), including performance tuning and optimization.
• Deep experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps) and branching strategies.
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Track record of mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, architectural design, communication skills, and experience with Agile methodologies.
• Comfortable working autonomously while aligning across teams.

Compensation

• Pay: $120,000 - $135,000 per year
