Senior Software Engineer (SDE III) on the FLX ONE Cargo team in Pune. You will be a high-impact individual contributor responsible for building and owning core backend and full-stack components, shaping implementation patterns, and delivering production-ready services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve core FLX ONE Cargo services and APIs using modern enterprise stacks.
- Rapidly prototype, iterate, and refine solutions while maintaining production-grade quality (“vibe coding”).
- Take ownership of complex or high-impact components and own runtime behavior, reliability, and performance.
- Debug, optimize, and resolve production issues; contribute to observability, logging, and alerting.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code; perform and participate in thoughtful code reviews.
- Collaborate with Tech Leads, Architects, Product, and other engineers; mentor and enable early-career engineers.
- Participate in on-call or escalation rotations as appropriate.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building production systems.
- Strong proficiency in backend or full-stack development using modern stacks (examples listed: .NET, Node.js, Java, or similar).
- Experience building and operating cloud-native services on AWS or equivalent platforms.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a high sense of ownership.
Nice to Have
- Experience in airline, cargo, logistics, or other integration-heavy enterprise domains.
- Familiarity with modular architectures and incremental migration approaches.
