Senior Software Engineer - Hybrid

Role

MTech Systems is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to influence architecture, improve system performance, mentor teammates, and deliver web applications, internal tooling, and shared components for a global, AI-powered platform used in food production. The role is hybrid (Dunwoody / Atlanta) and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications, internal tooling, and shared components.
• Contribute to enterprise and customized applications for a global client base.
• Influence architecture decisions and improve system performance across the platform.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous learning.
• Mentor and support teammates to drive engineering quality and delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; work from the Atlanta office a couple days a week.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years with TypeScript, JavaScript, and/or C# (strong TypeScript expertise required).
• 5+ years with Angular, ASP.NET Core, or related technologies.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Experience with Azure, SQL Server, Ionic, Azure DevOps, NServiceBus, Cypress, and OpenAI technologies.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled development tools (examples given: GitHub Copilot, Bolt, Cursor, Replit) in VS Code or browser-based environments, vibe-coding workflows, and building products with AI agents.

Location & Hiring Notes

• Hybrid role based in Dunwoody / Atlanta (a couple days a week in-office).
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship at this time.

• Work on systems at global scale supporting large food producers, involving IoT, AI/ML, and predictive analytics.
• Focus on shipping features that improve yield, animal welfare, and sustainability.
