Builds LLM-powered agents (LangGraph, LangChain, Bedrock) — strong vibe-coding focus on agent workflows and AI-driven automation.
About the Role
Senior Software Engineer II, Applied AI will design, build, and operate production-grade LLM-powered agents to automate multi-step workflows across Wrapbook. The role partners with internal teams to identify high-impact processes, integrate agents with internal systems, and establish patterns for secure, observable, and scalable agent deployments (remote - USA/Canada).
Job Description
Role
Senior Software Engineer II, Applied AI on the Agentic Systems team. Build, ship, and iterate on LLM-powered agents that automate multi-step workflows for internal teams across Wrapbook, owning agents end-to-end from prototype to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build production-grade AI agents (using LangGraph) to automate workflows.
- Deploy, run, and scale agents on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, using runtime, memory, identity, and gateway capabilities while tracking costs and maintaining efficiency.
- Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Sales, Support, Operations, Finance) to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translate them into agent-driven solutions.
- Integrate agents with Wrapbook’s internal systems, APIs, and third-party tools so agents can take actions, not just answer questions.
- Build evaluation, observability, and guardrail frameworks to measure agent quality, catch failures, and keep humans in the loop where appropriate.
- Establish reusable patterns, shared tools, and best practices to accelerate consistent agent development.
- Own agents end-to-end, measure impact, iterate based on usage data and feedback.
- Drive adoption through documentation, training, and enablement for internal teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of back-end development experience with Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Java, delivering systems designed for security, scalability, availability, and performance.
- Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-powered agents or workflows (models such as Claude, GPT, Llama, or Mistral), including prompting, tool use, and structured outputs.
- Production experience with at least one agent/LLM framework such as LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen; familiarity with AI architectures like RAG, reranking, and multi-agent orchestration. Experience with LangGraph is a plus.
- Security-first mindset: attention to data access, permissions, and failure modes when agents take real actions.
- Strong product sense and communication skills; ability to work directly with non-technical teams to understand workflows and produce reliable automation.
- Comfort with ambiguity and an ownership mentality: able to take loosely defined problems from idea to production independently.
- Nice to have: experience running AWS workloads in production and designing for and deploying on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.
