Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Trajector, you will design and build robust, scalable serverless applications on AWS, integrate agentic AI solutions to automate complex workflows, and own the full lifecycle from system design through deployment and product support. You will collaborate with stakeholders, champion the client experience, and advance AI-assisted engineering practices across the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build serverless-first applications and platforms on AWS.
- Design, build, and integrate agentic AI solutions and apply modern AI design patterns to automate and enhance workflows.
- Promote and implement AI-assisted development workflows and tools (e.g., Claude Code) to increase team effectiveness.
- Define and provision cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK, Pulumi, and SST.
- Own end-to-end system design, deployment pipelines, production support, and deep-dive debugging.
- Advocate for the end-user and ensure technical decisions prioritize usability and client outcomes.
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Proven, hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, and Bun.
- Familiarity and willingness to evaluate emerging technologies (examples noted: Rust, Zig, SvelteKit, Astro).
- Strong AWS and serverless experience (including AWS Lambda) and a serverless-first mindset.
- Experience designing and optimizing NoSQL databases, specifically DynamoDB and MongoDB.
- Demonstrated experience building with agentic AI and understanding agentic design patterns and orchestration.
- Knowledge of modern AI coding assistants and AI-native workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Kiro, Cursor, OpenCode).
- CI/CD experience, specifically building and maintaining pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Strong collaboration, communication, empathy, and stakeholder-management skills.
