Senior Software Engineer to design and build the next-generation AI video maker (Video Agent) that ingests user content and composes social-ready videos. Lead rapid prototyping through beta and production using agent technology, working closely with product and marketing in an on-site Palo Alto team.

Role

Senior Software Engineer (Video Agent) responsible for building a next-generation AI video maker that ingests user content and composes quality social videos using agent technology. Work closely with product and marketing to drive rapid prototypes, beta tests, and production releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and implement agent-driven video composition features from prototype to production.
  • Collaborate with product and marketing to iterate quickly on customer-facing features.
  • Solve agent reliability, dynamic planning, and tool-integration problems using creative approaches.
  • Contribute both front-end and server-side code across the stack to deliver end-to-end product functionality.
  • Work with senior engineers across Asia time zones and participate in periodic evening meetings; collaborate on-site in Palo Alto.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5-8 years total experience in software engineering.
  • Strong full-stack skills (both front-end and server-side). Example front-end and back-end technologies referenced: React, NodeJS, Django.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, startup pace, and delivering product-facing features.
  • Strong product and business sense; ability to build from the ground up and prioritize customer needs.
  • Good judgment on when to hack and when to craft; familiarity with software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor) and vibe-coding workflows.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Palo Alto and coordinate with teams in other time zones.

Preferred

  • Experience building AI agents (dynamic planning, tool calls, memory, evaluation systems).
  • Experience shipping products as an individual developer or side projects.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $190,000 - $270,000.
