Role
As a Senior Solution Identity Specialist (Identity Governance) on Okta’s Global Presales team, you will deliver technical presentations, customized demonstrations, and outcome-focused proofs of concept to educate customers on Okta Identity Governance (OIG) solutions. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal teams, translate business problems into identity governance solutions, and provide strategic guidance to Solutions Engineering and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic customer engagements and technical discovery with security and infrastructure leaders.
- Deliver customized demonstrations and architectural sessions focused on Okta Identity Governance.
- Design and execute outcome-focused POCs that integrate governance solutions across SaaS, on-premises, and disconnected applications.
- Create and maintain reusable demo systems, diagrams, documentation, and POC templates for presales use.
- Build AI-based delivery and enablement functionality to support field teams.
- Provide strategic and technical leadership across Solutions Engineering and collaborate with the Office of the Field CTO.
- Produce solution content to communicate Okta’s value to engineering, operations, product, and business stakeholders.
- Represent Okta at industry events via presentations, webinars, and keynotes.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of identity and directory services, including Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD (Entra ID), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Kerberos, and OIDC/SAML protocols.
- Experience with multi-IdP ecosystems (Okta, Ping Identity, Google Workspace) and hybrid identity synchronization between on-premises and cloud.
- Deep, hands-on experience deploying or selling identity governance solutions (examples cited: SailPoint, Saviynt, Oracle Governance, Lumos).
- Experience with low-code/no-code automation tools such as Zapier or Workato.
- Ability to design architectures for joiner/mover/leaver flows and automation across systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills and experience contributing to technical events.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer meetings, industry events, and internal off-sites.
Nice-to-have
- Hands-on experience with Okta Identity Governance.
- Experience with IGA vendors such as SailPoint, Saviynt, or Oracle Governance.
- Certifications like CIDPRO, CISSP, CCSP, or CISM.
- Scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security integrations.
