Role
Lead research, development, and deployment of core analytical components for Splunk Observability Cloud, delivering real-time, enterprise-grade ML solutions for streaming anomaly detection, predictive intelligence, and automated root-cause analysis. Drive the integration of Generative and Agentic AI features and establish frameworks for evaluating AI system trustworthiness and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and evolve agentic platforms and machine learning algorithms for anomaly detection and prediction.
- Apply Generative AI and Agentic AI techniques to enable AI-driven features in the product.
- Deliver RAG and Agentic products into production and own end-to-end feature delivery.
- Collaborate across engineering and product teams to define evaluation frameworks for AI trustworthiness and resilience.
- Provide technical leadership, architecture design, mentorship, and establish best practices for development, testing, and artifact management.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science or related field with 6+ years of software engineering experience, or masterβs degree with 10+ years of experience.
- Experience designing and building scalable cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and working with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proven technical leadership, architecture design, and end-to-end feature ownership in AI/ML or platform domains.
- Experience with API design and frameworks (OpenAPI, GraphQL, gRPC, REST).
- Prior experience delivering RAG and Agentic products into production.
- Expert proficiency with vibe coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Windsurf, Cursor) is required.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Agentic and Generative AI research.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose effective solutions for complex requirements.
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native applications in AWS.
- Experience monitoring and analyzing metrics, traces, spans, and logs.
- Background in observability, generative AI, or model robustness.
Compensation & Benefits (summary)
- Posted starting salary range for U.S./Canada locations: $226,300.00 to $293,300.00. Location-specific ranges are provided in the posting.
