Role
Senior Staff Software Engineer on the Cloud Platform team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining backend server-side components for Druva’s SaaS platform. You will own complex features and architectural improvements, ensure high performance and responsiveness, and guide junior engineers through design and code reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement large and complex features and architectural improvements for enterprise-grade, scalable systems.
- Build and maintain backend server-side components with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Propose solutions and identify areas for engineering improvements across the product.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers; review designs and implementations.
- Handle complex escalations and provide technical leadership for the team.
- Generate detailed development specs using GenAI-driven workflows.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience, preferably in a product company.
- Extensive hands-on experience in Go, Python, C++, or Java on Unix/Linux or Windows platforms.
- Strong programming skills with solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design concepts.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI-based development using extensive prompting and spec-based development (Cursor/Gemini).
- Experience with cloud technologies (preferably AWS) and large-scale third-party API integrations (preferred).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
- B.Tech/B.E./M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.
