  • Design scalable distributed systems and clearly communicate architecture (C4 model); produce enterprise-level system design documentation, SLAs, and supplementary specifications.
  • Produce high-quality, modular, reusable code and drive engineering best practices and standards.
  • Design and implement DevOps strategies and CI/CD pipelines; build and maintain automated deployment frameworks.
  • Lead troubleshooting, performance estimation, risk escalation, and vendor/product evaluation; participate in contract negotiation and vendor relations.
  • Mentor and lead other engineers; participate in hiring, interviews, and performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7+ years relevant work experience.
  • Strong application development skills with ReactJS, Node.js, Vue.js, NestJS, TypeScript, or Python; strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Cloud experience preferred with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Required experience with AI-assisted tooling (examples cited: GitHub Copilot, Lovable.dev, v0.dev, bolt.new or other Vibe Coding tools).
  • Experience in data engineering: ingesting, transforming, and feature engineering data for data science/ML; streaming/event-driven architectures; data acquisition, cleansing, and parsing.
  • Deep understanding of REST API design, service-oriented architecture, distributed systems, software design patterns, and version control concepts.
  • DevOps and container platform expertise (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Run) and monitoring tools (Cloud Monitoring, SysDig, Data Dog, AppDynamics, New Relic, Nagios, Zabbix).
  • Familiarity with Linux command line, testing methodologies, CI/CD, Scrum/Agile, Lean Product Development, and Domain Driven Design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience working across multidisciplinary teams; healthcare experience preferred.

Additional

  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Role expects independent judgment, leadership in multi-disciplinary projects, and responsibility for expanding organizational technical knowledge.
