Job Description

Role

Senior Staff Software Engineer in ITG Accelerated Technologies and DT&I focused on developing, testing, and deploying scalable platforms and services that enable clinicians and physicians to deliver patient care. The role requires strong system design and distributed systems experience, ownership of production systems, and collaboration across technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, construct, and implement scalable distributed software and data solutions.
  • Act as a technical expert across Accelerated Technologies (AT) and project integrations: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and production support.
  • Produce high-quality, modular, reusable code and enterprise-level system design documentation (use cases, architecture docs, service mapping, consumer guides, transition docs).
  • Define SLAs and non-functional supplementary specifications; ensure implementations meet coding, naming, security, and versioning standards.
  • Design and execute DevOps strategies, build and maintain automated deployment frameworks (CI/CD), and drive change management.
  • Lead troubleshooting and provide on-call/after-hours support as needed.
  • Mentor and lead other engineers; participate in hiring, performance evaluation, and vendor/contract activities.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects on technology evaluation and product selection.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred.
  • Experience: Seven or more years of related experience.
  • Strong application development skills with one or more of: ReactJS, Node.js, Vue.js, NestJS, TypeScript, or Python.
  • 7+ years across cloud development (especially Google Cloud Platform preferred), data engineering (ingest, transform, feature engineering), and DevOps infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of streaming and event-driven architectures, REST-based API design, and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA).
  • Familiarity with distributed version control concepts and SQL/database interrogation techniques.
  • Extensive experience with container platforms and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Run.
  • Experience with container and application monitoring tools (Cloud Monitoring, SysDig, Data Dog, AppDynamics, New Relic, Nagios, Zabbix).
  • Experience with Linux command line and testing methodologies; strong communication skills.
  • Required: experience with AI-assisted tooling / Vibe Coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Lovable.dev, v0.dev, https://bolt.new/ or similar).
  • Preferred: healthcare domain experience.

Other Expectations

  • Ability to work independently, provide technical leadership, and mentor teams.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, complex environments and contributing to standard practices and procedures.
