Job Description
Role
Senior Structural Engineer and Office Leader responsible for technical delivery and office leadership for complex, large‑scale semiconductor and advanced high‑tech industrial projects. The role combines hands‑on structural design and advanced analysis with team leadership, client relationship development, and office operations in an integrated design‑build environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Project Delivery
- Lead structural design and planning from concept through construction administration for vibration‑sensitive, mission‑critical facilities.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical oversight to structural engineering teams; produce coordinated, code‑compliant construction documents that meet deflection and vibration criteria.
- Perform and oversee advanced structural analysis (linear/nonlinear static, modal and response spectrum, time‑history seismic analysis) and finite element modeling for vibration and seismic performance; design trusses, frames, and connections.
- Integrate structural design with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordination and constructability.
- Develop and maintain standards, specifications, template models, and calculation protocols.
Office Leadership & Culture
- Serve as a visible office leader fostering an inclusive, collaborative environment; drive staff development, career pathing, and mentoring.

- Active U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing; ability to obtain reciprocity in additional states. Structural Engineer (SE) license highly desirable.
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience with a demonstrated focus on semiconductor, advanced high‑tech industrial, cleanroom, or other vibration‑sensitive / mission‑critical facility design.
- Proven leadership experience managing structural engineering teams through all project phases in a design‑build delivery model.
- Strong communication, presentation, client‑facing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Track record in business development, proposal participation, and client relationship building.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with wafer fabrication facility structural design, vibration criteria, and sub‑fab clearance considerations.
- Knowledge of advanced seismic protective systems and performance‑based seismic design.
- Experience correlating finite element models with field vibration measurements.
- NCEES Record and ability to obtain PE/SE licensure across multiple states.
- Success in integrated design‑build fast‑track projects and experience leading organizational change and adopting new technologies (including AI).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $130,000 – $200,000 per year (commensurate with location, education, and experience).
- Leadership bonus program and ownership investment opportunities.
