Senior Structural Engineer

Role

Senior Structural Engineer responsible for independently performing structural engineering assignments, executing detailed engineering work on major projects or leading engineering efforts on small to medium-sized projects, and ensuring designs meet schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute detailed structural engineering design and calculations; prepare specifications, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
• Develop engineering designs and drawings using CADD and BIM tools; create 2D drawings and 3D BIM models and ensure constructability and accuracy.
• Apply engineering judgment to resolve technical issues; develop innovative solutions and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Interface with clients to define project scope, provide progress updates, and maintain client relationships; support business development activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and manage engineering deliverables and workflows between platforms.
• Mentor and review the work of junior engineers and designers; may supervise project team members.
• Travel as required and maintain a valid driver’s license where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, qualifying the individual for professional licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a structural engineering role.
• Strong understanding of building codes and industry standards (AISC, ACI, etc.).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks, MicroStation and other CAD/BIM tools used for structural design and project coordination.
• Experience with interoperability and workflows between platforms such as Revit and RISA and other engineering applications.
• Working knowledge of industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and institutional building projects and related BIM deliverables.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to coordinate with global teams; ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexibility to work evening hours to coordinate with U.S.-based teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• PE registration or PE-track status.
• Demonstrated progression in engineering design, project execution, and technical problem solving.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project environments.
