Role
Senior UX / Interaction Designer in Google’s Envisioning Studio focused on AI and learning. The role centers on designing next-generation AI creativity and learning tools, pushing UX boundaries, creating novel product surfaces, and developing prototypes that shape long-term product strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design of AI creativity and learning tools, establishing new design systems and interaction models.
- Use “vibe coding” and rapid prototyping to explore and validate interaction concepts and prototypes.
- Drive major design initiatives that influence high-level decisions and long-term roadmaps.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, product) and external experts to translate emerging AI research into product surfaces and functional prototypes.
- Conduct and integrate practitioner-facing research, including “deep listening” exercises and co-creation sessions with external partners.
- Operate across multiple product areas and often adopt a Product Manager mindset to move concepts to shipped prototypes.
- Design futuristic prototypes and facilitate collaborative co-creation with external innovators and practitioner communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of conversation design experience in product design or UX design.
- Experience bringing generative AI-powered products to market.
- Must include a portfolio, website, or other relevant link to work in the application materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- ~4 years of experience designing products.
- ~3 years working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
- Knowledge of Figma.
Compensation
- US base salary range: $159,000 - $233,000. Compensation may also include bonus, equity, and additional benefits. The listed range refers to base salary only; total pay varies by location, level, and experience.
