Job Description

Role

Senior UX/Interaction Designer in Google’s Envisioning Studio responsible for inventing and designing future AI experiences. You will lead end-to-end design of generative AI‑powered creativity and learning tools, craft novel product surfaces, and build prototypes that influence research and long‑term product roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design of next‑generation AI creativity and learning tools using vibe coding and rapid prototyping.
  • Establish new design systems and interaction models across the organization.
  • Drive major design initiatives that challenge industry best practices and influence high‑level decisions and roadmaps.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams and external experts to translate emerging AI research into functional prototypes and product surfaces.
  • Conduct deep listening with practitioner communities and integrate user insights into product features.
  • Operate across multiple product areas and adopt a product/PM mindset to drive large, complex projects from concept to shipped prototypes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of conversation design experience in product design or UX design.
  • Experience bringing generative AI‑powered products to market.
  • Portfolio, website, or relevant work links provided with application.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4 years of experience in designing products.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross‑functional organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of Figma.

Compensation

US base salary range for this full‑time position: $159,000 - $233,000 (base salary only; additional bonus, equity, and benefits may apply).
