Role
Senior UX Designer within Google’s Envisioning Studio (Technology and Society) focused on the future of AI. The role leads end-to-end interaction and product design for generative AI-powered creativity and learning tools, creating prototypes and evolving design systems in partnership with multidisciplinary teams across Alphabet.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design of next-generation AI creativity and learning tools.
- Utilize vibe coding and rapid prototyping to establish new design systems and interaction models.
- Lead major design initiatives that influence high-level decisions and long-term product roadmaps.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and external experts to transform emerging AI research into tangible product surfaces and functional prototypes.
- Integrate practitioner and user insights through deep listening exercises to ground features in real-world needs and measurable impact.
- Operate across multiple product areas and often adopt a product/PM mindset to drive large-scale concepts to shipped prototypes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in product design or UX.
- Experience bringing generative AI-powered products to market.
- Portfolio, website, or relevant work samples accessible via links or access instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field.
- ~3 years of experience working in complex cross-functional organizations.
- Understanding of how motion design influences UI and interaction design.
- Knowledge of Figma.
- Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
Location & Compensation
- Applicants may indicate a preferred working location from: New York, NY, USA; London, UK.
- For US candidates the posted base salary range is $159,000–$231,000 (base only). Compensation also includes bonus, equity, and benefits.
