Role
We are hiring a Senior UX/UI Designer to craft intuitive, high-quality user experiences for fintech products, with a strong emphasis on mobile (iOS and Android). This is an in-office, full-time role based in Vancouver, BC focused on research-driven design, design systems, and close collaboration with Product and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead UX research and discovery: conduct and synthesize user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Apply fintech domain expertise to ensure compliant and secure user flows.
- Drive end-to-end design from wireframes and prototypes to high-fidelity visual designs for complex payment and financial workflows.
- Champion mobile-first design optimized for iOS and Android native guidelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering to ensure feasibility and quality of implementation.
- Establish and maintain scalable design systems and pattern libraries tailored to fintech applications.
- Mentor and provide feedback during design reviews to uphold usability and design standards.
- Validate designs through metrics, A/B testing, and user feedback to inform iterations.
- Stay current with UX/UI tools, mobile best practices, and design technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of UX/UI design experience with a strong research component, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or complex B2B environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX/UI work (discovery, wireframes, prototypes, polished visual designs) and a research-driven process.
- Demonstrated experience designing for mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and familiarity with native platform guidelines and responsive design principles.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma or Sketch.
- Familiarity with vibe coding and how design translates into functional interfaces.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, UX research methods, and data-informed decision-making.
- Experience working in Agile environments, using Jira, conducting A/B testing, and iterating rapidly.
- Excellent communication, presentation, documentation, and collaboration skills.
