Senior Visual Designer on the Android Laptops & Tablets (L&T) team responsible for shaping visual language, design system components, and large-screen UI patterns. You will collaborate with engineering and product management to craft accessible, high-quality interfaces and AI-driven features from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive ideation and creative direction through high-fidelity work and prototypes.
- Lead design, communication, and implementation for assigned areas while partnering closely with engineering and advocating for quality and accuracy.
- Partner with UX and Product stakeholders during feature development and participate in workshops and sprints as needed.
- Manage and evolve the Android Pixel Design system for laptops and tablets, ensuring correct use of tokens, components, and large-screen guidelines.
- Deliver prototypes using Figma or vibe coding, including basic animation specifications for motion designers.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design.
- 4 years of experience in development or prototyping.
- Experience with design tools such as Figma.
- Include a portfolio, website, or other relevant link in your resume.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
- Experience with brand expression and style.
- Proficiency designing interfaces on the Android platform.
- Understanding of how motion design influences UI and interaction design.
Tools & Deliverables
- Primary tools: Figma and vibe coding for prototypes.

Compensation
- US base salary range (full-time): $159,000 - $231,000 (base salary only). Role also includes bonus, equity, and benefits.
