Senior Webflow Designer
Uses Claude and Claude Code as core AI assistants and builds directly in Webflow for rapid, test-driven iteration and prototyping.
About the Role
Lead the design and build of marketing sites across four home-service brands in Webflow to enable fast, test-driven growth without engineering support. Own the Webflow design system, templates, interactions, accessibility, and visual quality to deliver high-converting, brand-consistent pages.
Job Description
Role
LawnStarter is hiring a Senior Webflow Designer to sit on the Growth team and own the transition of marketing sites into Webflow. You will design and build page templates, component libraries, interactions, and UX/UI standards across four brands (Home Gnome, LawnStarter, Lawn Love, ProBase), enabling the Growth team to launch tests and pages without engineering involvement. You will report to the Director of Design and work closely day-to-day with a Technical Growth Manager and a CRO Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build page templates, component architecture, and a shared Webflow design system for multiple brands.
- Create and maintain UX/UI standards focused on usability, conversion best practices, and WCAG accessibility.
- Design and implement interactions, micro-interactions, scroll behavior, loading states, and motion-driven storytelling using Webflow native tools and custom CSS/JS when required.
- Produce test-ready designs and component variants in partnership with the CRO Specialist for rapid A/B testing and iteration.
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Growth Manager for CMS architecture, production handoff, QA, and scale deployment of programmatic SEO pages.
- Stay involved through QA to ensure production matches design intent and iterate on components and templates based on shipping results.
Problems to Solve
- Remove engineering bottlenecks by creating a Webflow system that allows non-engineers to spin up pages and tests quickly.
- Raise the visual and UX bar across thousands of SEO pages so they look modern, convert, and remain accessible at scale.
- Maintain distinct brand identities for four brands while sharing a robust, componentized foundation.
What Success Looks Like (Year 1)
- Home Gnome fully designed and live in Webflow with templates, components, interactions, and standards that meet a high visual and accessibility bar.
- A complete Webflow design system that the Growth team can self-serve from without returning to design for routine pages and tests.
- Test-ready designs and variants that accelerate experimentation and iteration.
- SEO templates that scale across thousands of programmatic pages while preserving brand and UX consistency.
- Interactions and motion integrated into the system to make brands feel premium.
- WCAG-compliant designs by default and an established design-to-test iteration loop with the CRO Specialist.
Requirements
- Top-tier visual and brand design skills with strong attention to typography, spacing, hierarchy, color, imagery, and composition.
- Expert-level Webflow experience building complex, multi-page sites with component architecture, dynamic content, and advanced interactions.
- Strong UX/UI discipline with practical knowledge of usability, accessibility (WCAG), conversion best practices, and data-driven decision making.
- Comfortable writing or reading custom CSS and JavaScript to extend Webflow where native tools fall short.
- Proven experience collaborating with growth, SEO, paid, content, analytics, and engineering teams; comfortable in a fast, test-driven environment.
- Self-directed, fast, and able to turn briefs into high-quality deliverables with minimal oversight.
- AI-native workflow familiarity: regular use of Claude Code/Claude as part of design and build processes.
This Role Is Not
- A Figma-to-Webflow handoff role — design and build happen in Webflow.
- The production owner for CMS programmatic builds or test rollouts — the Technical Growth Manager owns production wiring and rollouts.
- A primary brand-identity creation role — you maintain and execute brand standards rather than create entire identities.
Benefits
- Base salary: $110K–$140K
- 401k
- Healthcare: medical, dental, and vision
- Fully remote
- Unlimited PTO
