Join Solace as a Software Developer to build the Solace Agent Mesh, a full‑stack role combining React frontends and Python/Java backend services to enable event-driven, agentic AI integrations and real-time experiences for enterprise customers.
Job Description
Role
Solace is hiring a Software Developer to contribute to the Solace Agent Mesh, an event-driven integration and orchestration platform for agentic AI. You will build features that span frontend React interfaces and backend API services, integrating advanced AI technologies with core products and internal tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Build full-stack features: React frontend components and backend API endpoints for the Solace Agent Mesh.
- Design and implement responsive UIs and robust backend services that integrate with the Solace Platform.
- Participate across the software lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, bug fixing, and deployment using agile practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver features spanning multiple system components.
- Maintain code quality via clean, maintainable code and participation in code reviews.
- Develop and maintain automated tests for frontend and backend.
- Debug and resolve issues across the full application stack and contribute technical documentation for APIs and components.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience with exposure to both frontend and backend technologies.
- Experience developing React applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend tooling.
- Experience building backend services with Python and Java SpringBoot and designing RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and automated testing for web applications.
- Understanding of web technologies, HTTP protocols, and client-server architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization concepts.
- Familiarity with modern development tools, build processes, and agile practices.
- Experience using AI coding-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Co-pilot, Cline, Claude Code, Aider, Ro).
- Strong communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and a motivation to learn.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts and interest in intelligent user interfaces.
- Experience with real-time web technologies (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events).
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging systems.
- Familiarity with microservices and distributed systems concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Docker, and basic Kubernetes concepts.

Salary
- Expected salary range: $95,000 to $140,000 per year (final offer will reflect skills and experience).
