Role
Seeking a Software Engineer—AI to join the DisneyStore team to design and implement web and retail experiences that incorporate AI/ML for personalization, recommendations, search optimization, and predictive analysis of guest behavior. You will work cross-functionally with developers, QA, product managers, and data scientists to deliver and maintain production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Write code to satisfy user stories and product requirements.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into eCommerce and retail platforms (personalized recommendations, search optimization, predictive analysis).
- Resolve defects, support testing efforts, and debug code frequently.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, retrospectives, daily standups).
- Collaborate with QA to validate solutions and participate in code reviews.
- Build features using AI-driven insights (sentiment analysis, audience segmentation, intelligent recommendations).
- Document and demo work; experiment with AI-based tools and frameworks to address business challenges.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 2+ years across the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with server-side JavaScript.
- Ability to deliver full-stack development solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; strong collaboration.
- Proactive, able to learn independently and adapt quickly.
- Familiarity with AI-powered APIs and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of ADA (accessibility) compliance for web applications.
- Experience with eCommerce SaaS platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Magento, or Websphere Commerce.
- Hands-on experience in Agile development environments.
- Knowledge of recommendation systems and web performance optimization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and build tools (e.g., Jenkins, Harness).
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs; exposure to AI-based development tools.
Education
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hiring range for this position in Florida: $110,000 - $135,000 per year.
- Base pay may vary by geographic region and experience; bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided.
