Role
We are seeking a Frontend Engineer (Software Engineer II) to design and build responsive, performant user interfaces, primarily using TypeScript and React. The role emphasizes UI leadership while allowing growth into backend and full-stack responsibilities over time. AI-assisted development tools are considered a core part of the workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build responsive, high-performance UIs using React, TanStack, Zustand, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Collaborate on end-to-end feature development and progressively take on backend work.
- Use GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, merge request workflows, and issue tracking.
- Deploy and manage workloads on Google Cloud Platform CDN and related services (GKE, Cloud Storage).
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude) to accelerate development.
- Write clean, maintainable, strongly typed code with reusable components.
- Partner with designers and product managers to translate specs into shippable experiences.
- Participate in code reviews, retrospectives, and architectural discussions.
Requirements
- 4+ years of post-internship experience with React and TypeScript.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS skills.
- Experience with UI component libraries, web accessibility (a11y), and internationalization.
- Familiarity with test libraries such as Jest and Playwright.
- Proficient with React ecosystem tools (TanStack, Zustand).
- Working knowledge of GitLab, Jira, Visual Studio, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes/GKE, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and CDN technologies.
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, Claude/Claude Code).
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with AI tools and AI-enabled workflows.
- Experience with micro front-end architecture.
- Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
