Role
Evernorth is seeking a Software Engineering Lead Analyst to join the Data and Analytics organization. The role focuses on developing integrated architectural strategies and delivering production-ready ETL and data integration solutions that support enterprise-scale capabilities in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Conduct research and perform proof-of-concept (POC) activities to validate approaches and technologies.
- Use vibe coding tools to improve development velocity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Optimize and maintain ETL workflows for efficiency and performance; ensure data integrity and quality through testing and validation.
- Create and implement best practices for large data transformation layers and prepare detailed technical documentation.
- Monitor and support production applications and workflows.
- Automate code and artifact migration across environments and support CI/CD-based promotion and deployment.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant ETL development experience.
- 4+ years of experience with Databricks and 4+ years with Python.
- Hands-on experience building data integration solutions and working with both NoSQL and relational databases (examples: Mongo, Postgres, Teradata, SQL Server).
- Experience with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lake House technologies; strong database concepts, query optimization, and performance tuning skills.
- Hands-on experience with Airflow monitoring and scripting languages like Python.
- Experience administering and configuring Denodo Platform components including VDP server, view creation, RBAC, cache management, and Denodo Solution Manager for environment promotion and deployment management.
- Experience configuring/tuning Presto/MPP within Denodo and integrating Denodo with SSO providers (SAML/OAuth) such as Okta.
- Experience connecting Denodo via JDBC/ODBC to BI tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Experience automating deployments across DEV/UAT/PROD using CI/CD pipelines, scripting, or platform-native tools (e.g., Denodo Solution Manager, Databricks Repos, AWS CodePipeline).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Databricks, AWS Developer Associate (or similar), Denodo Platform 8.0+ certification or equivalent hands-on admin experience.
- Experience deploying and managing Denodo on AWS EC2, including OS-level configuration, JVM tuning, and log management.
