SOLUTION ARCHITECT L2

Role

Seasoned Solution Architect (L2) to develop enterprise cloud architectures, lead application migration and modernization efforts, and provide technical leadership across large-scale client engagements. The role emphasizes platform engineering, cloud-native design, security, observability, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-wide, scalable, reliable, and manageable architectures for new deals and major change requests.
• Provide solutioning for RFPs and ensure overall design assurance and alignment with business outcomes.
• Define target-state architectures, reusable patterns, and investment roadmaps based on current-state analysis.
• Lead technical design, development, prototyping, validation, and implementation of custom solutions.
• Recommend integration approaches and work with IT groups to transition tasks and resolve performance/issues.
• Perform detailed architectural documentation (application views, artifacts, and multiple perspectives).
• Identify root causes in architectural designs and propose corrective solutions.
• Track industry trends and map them to current and future IT needs.

Requirements

• Minimum ~20+ years overall IT experience (posting indicates a seasoned architect) with 8+ years leading migration & modernization engagements; posting also lists Experience: >10 YEARS.
• Proven experience designing and operating cloud landing zones and hybrid connectivity in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as IAM, Networking, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL/PostgreSQL, MemoryStore, and GKE.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, cloud-native architecture, SRE practices, and 12-factor application principles.
• Experience implementing zero-trust/no-trust security architectures in cloud environments.
• Platform engineering experience designing, implementing, and operationalizing large platforms for scale and adoption.
• Ability to make critical solution design decisions and perform quick hands-on proofs of concept.
• Programming ability sufficient to pick up languages and code when required.
• Experience with cost-optimized cloud architecture, defining NFRs, and identifying SLIs/SLOs.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred / Additional

• Experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI, including building accelerators and assisted/vibe coding capabilities.
• Certifications in Google Cloud, Kubernetes (K8s), or Generative AI are advantageous but demonstrated experience is prioritized.
• Experience leading API-first, cloud-first, and data-first transformation initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

• Stated compensation range: $100,000 to $185,000.
• Eligible for Wipro standard benefits including medical and dental options, disability insurance, paid time off (including sick leave), and other paid/unpaid leave options.

• Location: Dearborn, Michigan. Post-offer drug screening may be required depending on role and applicable state law.
