Job Description
Role
UST is seeking a Solution Architect to maintain customer relationships, gather business requirements, and lead technical design and delivery of application technology solutions. The role owns change requests, participates in enterprise solution reviews, coordinates on-call support and system monitoring, and conducts technical design and code reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering and review design proposals with business stakeholders.
- Anticipate technical changes and ensure technology remains current with industry developments.
- Own the change request process and coordinate implementation across teams.
- Conduct technical design and code reviews; ensure unit testing meets test plans.
- Deliver application technology solutions and contribute to execution planning.
- Coordinate and manage on-call support and system monitoring processes.
- Participate in review and decision-making for enterprise solutions.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define long-term technology trajectory.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (required) and at least 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in multi-dimensional platforms and both business and technical applications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in object-oriented design, EKS container platform, and public cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Experience designing and developing large web-based applications using JavaScript, AngularJS, NodeJS, Java, CSS, and HTML.
- Experience designing large mobile applications in React Native.
- Experience in design and architecture of microservices-based APIs and Service Mesh.
- Experience implementing and leading DevOps process automation using tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, SonarQube, and Checkmarx.
- Familiarity with SAFe Agile practices and Agile tools such as JIRA and Agilecraft.
- Experience in test automation practices and tools such as qTest, WebDriverIO, and LambdaTest.
- Experience implementing instrumentation and monitoring with tools like Splunk, DataDog, or Instana.
Preferred / Nice-to-have
- Experience mentoring and leading teams, driving results across multiple or large projects.
- Multi-database and multi-language experience.
- Experience with vibe coding and modern AI-assisted IDEs (Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot) and AI agent workflows.
- Experience with AI-first SDLC and end-to-end development process automation.
Compensation & Location
- Role Location: Remote
- Compensation Range: $123,000 - $185,000 (USD)
