Sr. AR/VR/AI Experience Prototyper
Explicitly mentions vibe coding and AI-assisted prototyping; role uses rapid, experimental "vibe" workflows to build prototypes.
About the Role
The Vision Products Group is hiring a Senior AR/VR/AI Experience Prototyper to rapidly create interactive prototypes that explore next-generation spatial and intelligence-driven user experiences. The role combines Swift/ARKit prototyping with other tools to surface insights, guide product decisions, and demonstrate hardware/software trade-offs to cross-functional stakeholders.
Job Description
Role
The Vision Products Group is seeking a Senior Experience Prototyper to rapidly develop interactive prototypes that explore future spatial, augmented reality, and intelligence-driven experiences. The role focuses on “learning by doing”: creating experiential prototypes to surface product insights, validate concepts, and inform decision-making across technical and executive audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Rapidly develop user-facing interactive prototypes that demonstrate core experiential capabilities using nascent technologies (AR, AI/ML, ambient computing, IoT).
- Present demos and prototypes to cross-functional partners, technical collaborators, and leadership to communicate insights and guide decisions.
- Translate prototype learnings and experiment results into product requirements and implementation plans.
- Navigate hardware and software trade-offs to arrive at coherent, user-focused experience demonstrations.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Able to build end-user applications using technologies like SwiftUI and ARKit (or similar).
- Familiar with rapid prototyping techniques including AI-assisted (“vibe”) coding, Wizard of Oz methods, Arduino/embedded systems, or similar approaches.
- Experience building applications involving AI and foundation models, including prompting and fine-tuning LLMs and working with MCP-based systems.
- Comfortable exploring ambiguous, open-ended problems and learning new tools quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with prototyping technologies such as Touch Designer, PureData, Arduino, etc.
- Experience with IoT/ubicomp/ambient interfaces and natural user interfaces.
- Familiarity with immersive experiences, 3D math, and 3D development platforms such as Unity.
- Comfortable evaluating hardware/software trade-offs in prototype contexts.
