Role
As a hands-on Sr. Associate – Data & Analytics Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data architecture, and analytics solutions that strengthen Pfizer’s enterprise data foundation and empower enabling functions (HR, Finance, Global Business Services, Legal).
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data architecture and infrastructure.
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, documentation, and metadata.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and work with external data vendors and partners.
- Develop analytics solutions and KPIs to support business decision-making.
- Monitor performance and scalability of data systems and optimize workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business goals.
- Integrate and utilize new data technologies and tools, including generative AI and vibe coding approaches to improve efficiency.
Requirements (Basic Qualifications)
- BA/BS or MS/MBA/M. Tech (PhD acceptable).
- 3–5 years of relevant experience (longer experience expected for many preferred items).
- Advanced to expert skills in: data architecture design, data warehousing (preferably Snowflake), SQL, ETL/data pipelines, data integration, data modeling, BI and visualization (Tableau, Power BI), and data quality management.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (SnowFlake, Data Bricks, Spark).
- Familiarity with data governance, data security, statistical analysis, and communication/collaboration with stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with vibe coding and generative AI–based data pipeline and analytics solution development.
- Programming experience in languages such as Python, R, Scala, Java, and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- People analytics experience and familiarity with SaaS tools such as Visier, One Model, Perceptyx, Workday Prism Analytics, Workday People Analytics, SAP Success Factors Workforce Analytics, and Workday HCM.
- Experience with global HR data integration, M&A-related data work, GDPR and other international privacy regulations, and GDPR-aligned architecture principles.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices (version control, CI/CD), DevOps, API-based data services, agile methodologies (SCRUM/SAFe).
- Experience architecting end-to-end pipelines on major cloud stacks, ML, text analysis/NLP, and recommendation systems.
