Role
The Sr. Director, Data Product Management leads a Product Management organization responsible for a strategic portfolio spanning Sales, Customer Success, Partner and Finance domains. This role partners with business leaders and cross-functional teams to define vision, roadmap, and delivery of data products and AI/ML-integrated solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. The position reports to the Chief Data Officer and is a people manager role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business plans and product roadmaps for data products across Sales, Customer Success, Services, Partner and Finance.
- Translate business needs into product requirements and AI-integrated initiatives; prioritize features and requirements in partnership with marketing, design and engineering.
- Build machine learning and AI-ready data foundations and oversee product design, compliance with enterprise data policies, and measurable impact on business metrics.
- Lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and work with outsourced vendors as needed.
- Facilitate requirements definition, identify dependencies, and manage risks through to resolution.
- Run quarterly business reviews, maintain metrics scorecards, and align deliverables to the Annual Operating Plan.
- Manage technology spend analytics, capacity planning, budget analysis, and provide insights for optimization.
- Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to track hiring, attrition and headcount spend.
- Leverage AI skills and tools (including vibe coding) to improve product management processes, documentation, testing and change management.
Requirements
Basic
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics or equivalent.
- 15+ years of experience in high-technology or subscription software organizations.
- Experience managing senior product leaders in a matrixed organization.
- Experience with AI/ML initiatives and AI product development from ideation to launch.
- Experience with enterprise system implementations for global companies.
- Familiarity with OKRs, KPIs and metric dashboards.
Preferred
- Strategic leadership experience driving large-scale transformations with senior stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to present recommendations to executive management.
- Proven track record managing product lifecycle, adoption and maintenance using an agile/scrum product management approach.
- Demonstrated success integrating AI technologies into enterprise workflows to deliver measurable results.
- Experience with Sales, Customer Success and Finance operations and related IT domains.
Compensation & Location
- California base salary range provided: $233,300.00 - $373,525.00.
- Eligible for company bonus plan (non-sales roles) or variable incentive pay (sales roles) and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
- Hybrid role with a minimum in-office expectation of 2 days per week; access to an office location required.
