Job Description

Role

Senior Director of Product Management responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and execution for Salesforce’s internal developer experience platforms and developer productivity capabilities. This role partners with senior engineering, security, and product leaders to shape tooling and paved paths that enable engineers to deliver faster, with higher quality, and at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define multi-year vision and strategy for internal developer experience and platform adoption.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a world-class team of product managers and developer advocates; foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.
  • Drive roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and execute on platform and tooling improvements that reduce developer friction across onboarding, testing, deployment, and operations.
  • Influence and align executive stakeholders and partner across a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Lead large-scale transformations to measurably improve developer productivity, velocity, and satisfaction.
  • Work across engineering, security, and product to deliver paved paths that reduce custom tooling and increase platform adoption.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive product management experience, including 5+ years leading senior product leaders at scale.
  • Proven experience managing developer platforms, internal tooling, or infrastructure products for large engineering organizations.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering practices.
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills for both executive-level strategy and technical tradeoffs with engineering teams.
  • AI literacy with hands-on ability to go from PRD to vibe-coding.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Typical base salary range: $209,700 - $351,800 annually (base only).
  • In select San Francisco and New York City metro areas: $251,900 - $384,100 annually (base only).
  • Role may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits as applicable.
