Role
Lemonade seeks an automation-minded Senior IT Engineer, AI Ops to bridge IT operations and AI innovation by designing, building, and deploying AI agents, copilots, and low-code/agentic workflows that automate manual processes and improve team productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy AI agents and copilots (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) that integrate with Slack, ticketing tools, and custom UIs to assist IT and business teams.
- Build and maintain low-code and agentic workflows to automate manual processes, improve accuracy, and boost productivity.
- Analyze operational and support data to identify automation opportunities; own delivery from ideation to implementation and measure business impact.
- Evangelize automation and AI internally through demos, knowledge sharing, and cultivating a self-service culture.
- Maintain and expand a knowledge library of KB articles, self-service flows, and reusable function libraries to reduce common requests.
- Monitor SaaS, security, and AI trends and present quarterly briefings to IT leadership on opportunities for innovation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop tailored autonomous solutions that enhance workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to adapt style and content for different audiences.
- Scripting experience in TypeScript, Python, or Ruby; comfortable working with REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience building low-code solutions, vibe-coding, and traditional coding; experience with AI agents and copilots.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, bias for action, and ability to ship MVPs quickly.
- Approximately 3 years in an IT operations, automation, or engineering role in a high-growth SaaS environment is a plus.
- Willingness to work in an office environment most days a week.
Compensation & Location
- US base salary range for this role: $145,000 - $160,000 plus equity and benefits.
