Senior Manager, Buyer Strategy for eBay Live. Lead end-to-end viewer and buyer strategy to grow demand quality, activation, engagement, and retention. High-impact individual contributor with strong cross-functional influence across product, marketing, operations, and category teams; opportunity to build a team over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Define demand strategy and growth levers for viewers and buyers across categories and geographies.
- Identify key customer segments, behaviors, and growth opportunities using data and market insights.
- Define success metrics for viewers and buyers (e.g., productivity, retention, GMV contribution) and translate insights into actionable initiatives.
- Drive buyer activation and success by partnering with marketing and product to improve awareness, consideration, engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Work with teams that design playbooks to help buyers engage with live formats and identify friction points in the buyer journey to simplify the experience.
- Support development of incentives, programs, and tools that drive buyer growth.
- Own buyer insights and performance tracking: establish and track key buyer metrics, analyze performance, and provide regular recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Help shape business reviews and operating cadences with a buyer lens.
- Partner with product, category, programming, trust, and policy teams to inform roadmap priorities, align demand with supply and content strategies, and ensure high-quality buyer experiences.
- Contribute to category-specific buyer strategies and support market expansion by defining buyer profiles and activation approaches.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in ecommerce, marketplaces, or customer roles (startup and enterprise experience is a plus).
- Experience in growth, operations, or strategy roles is highly preferred; working closely with or embedded in product teams is a plus.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to turn data into insights and actions.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives without direct authority and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Interest in live commerce, creator ecosystems, or video-driven marketplaces.
- AI-native thinking and skills (vibe coding, agent building).

Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: C$129,200 - C$172,500.
- Total compensation may include target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable).
- Benefits may include medical and financial plans, RRSP eligibility, paid time off (PTO), and parental leave.
