Role
We are hiring a Staff Engineer to design and maintain data products and pipelines that support dentsu’s B2B marketing solutions. The role focuses on leading projects, mentoring engineers, collaborating with Product, Data, Design, and Executive stakeholders, and driving technical decisions around data infrastructure and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project initiatives and foster collaboration across teams
- Mentor and support engineers in their career growth
- Partner with stakeholders to solve technical challenges and strengthen data infrastructure
- Build and optimize data pipelines and monthly data assets
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure seamless data sharing
- Communicate clearly and document processes for technical and non-technical audiences
- Research and introduce new technologies, including Snowflake Native App development
- Use Agile practices and AI tools to deliver features quickly
- Apply best practices across design, implementation, testing, review, and deployment using CI/CD
- Participate in quality assurance, automated testing, and on-call support
- Help onboard clients and collaborate with client solution teams
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of software development experience
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
- Proficient in Vibe Coding
- Solid understanding of database fundamentals, SQL, and relational/non-relational data models
- Expertise in Python (Java is a plus)
- Experience with big data platforms (Snowflake preferred)
- Familiarity with Agile development, version control (Git, Bitbucket), and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of containerized environments (Snowpark preferred; Docker is a plus)
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP also welcome)
- Understanding of data workflows (Airflow, Snowflake streams/tasks) and distributed systems
- Unix command line and Bash scripting skills are a plus

- Hybrid expectation for employees within commutable distance: 3 days per week in office (2 days/week for Los Angeles); remote arrangements may be available depending on role and location
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $113,000 - $182,850
