Staff iOS Creative Technologist on the Google Search team builds high-fidelity iOS prototypes and motion-rich interactions to explore and validate new search experiences. The role partners with researchers, designers, and engineers to lead projects from concept to production-quality implementation using technical UX design and vibe-coding tools.

Role
The Staff iOS Creative Technologist will design, prototype, and deliver interactive iOS experiences and motion-rich interactions for Google Search. The role spans concept exploration, usability testing, and final implementation in collaboration with Researchers, Designers, and Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceive, build, and deliver engaging, testable prototypes across a portfolio of products.
- Test concepts for iteration, research, and validation; build prototypes for usability studies.
- Collaborate with interaction and motion designers to define and implement polish and animation quality.
- Identify emerging needs and develop interaction design best practices and pattern documentation.
- Lead or contribute to projects with a holistic, systems-thinking approach and advocate for user needs across platforms.
- Strategize and define approaches that optimize implementation of design intent.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in iOS development in Swift, technical UX design, and prototyping.
- Experience with vibe coding tools (examples cited: AI Studio, Cursor, Antigravity, Firebase Studio).
- Experience in motion design related to physics, patterns, and visual design elements.
- Portfolio, website, or relevant work samples must be included in the application.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in technical leadership and managing projects.
- Familiarity working across full tech stacks and production environments.
- Experience with hosted backends (e.g., Firebase, Supabase) to power prototypes.
- Strong leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.

Compensation
US base salary range for this full-time position: $178,000 - $265,000 (base salary only). Compensation package may also include bonus, equity, and benefits.
